Maintenance Management

Building maintenance is the combination of technical and administrative actions to ensure the items and elements of a building in an acceptable standard to perform its required function. (Wahab et al.2013). Maintenance can be defined as work undertaken in order to keep or restore every facility, i.e every part of a site, building and contract to an acceptable standard (Cloete 2001)
Maintenance comprises three separate components servicing , rectification and replacement . ( Cloete 2001 ). The purpose of the training is to train and up -skill participants in Maintenance Management.

  • Day 2: Prioritising of Maintenance work ,Day 3: Building Management systems

  • Fees cover training
  • Payment are required within 14 days of receipt

  • Day 1: Building condition assessment
  • Day 3: Maintenance contracts, Day 3: Building Management systems

  • Fees include lunch refreshment(non-alchlic) and conference/training manual
  • Proof of payment to be emailed to academy@minnacleminnacle.ac.bw

  • Day 2: Maintenance budgets
  • Day 3: Energy Management, Day 3: Building Management systems

  • Fees do not include accomodation, airfare or transfers
  • Delegates should arrange well in advance and may call us should they require assistance

Presentation Method!

The course will run for three days and will cover:

  • Theory – The facilitator shall present information to the delegates that is course based
  • Discussions – Ensures audience participation
  • Role play – Audience participation

  • Exercises – Practical exercises, in class presentations
  • Visual – Videos, pictures, tables and graphs
  • Project – Delegates may be expected to work on project at the end of the course
