Corporate Real Estate is the real property used by an organisation for its own operational purposes. It provides organisations with a productive environment to house employees,manufacture and distribute products, and provide services to the market. Corporate real estate touches all classes of property, land and buildings such as office facilities, data centers, manufacturing facilities, logistic centers, corporate headquarters, distribution facilities, retail stores and hotels.
Corporate real estate management (CREM) concerns the management of buildings and parcels of land at the disposal of private and public organizations that are not primarily in the real estate business. It involves ensuring that the property requirements of an organisation are met as efficiently and effectively as possible.
